About Stacey Cook
Hi, my name is Stacey Cook and I am a FOODY! There, I admit it!
In the past year or so I have learned so much about diet, and how it effects your body. It completely changed my outlook on my lifestyle and eating habits, so much so that I feel better than I have in years and my fitness levels are at their highest ever.
I decided to start a blog as a way for me to share recipes and tips with my friends and family and anyone else that might find it useful. If something I write in this blog helps just one person then the effort is totally worth it.
I get asked about my diet ALL the time! Seriously, the amount of times I’ve had to answer questions like “what, you don’t eat bread, like, ever? I could never do that“, Or my personal favorite “what do you do for carbs?” now I just tell them to check out this website 🙂
As I mentioned: I love food. Fresh, local & organic (whenever possible). I love to cook; it reminds me of my childhood, like when my mum used to let me help make spaghetti bolognaise and roast dinners – she taught me all about timing! She could run a café single handed the way she dishes out a full English breakfast I tell ya!
I do have a huge weakness for chocolate, there I said it! Obviously only the dark variety these days but still I fear my blog will be about 80% chocolate recipes, I’m sorry … actually no I’m not sorry chocolate recipes are the best!
My amazing fiance Mike and I have been together for 10 years now, and he really is my partner in crime. We moved to Vancouver from Bristol, England 4 years ago for an adventure that’s still going & only getting more exciting. He was a semi-professional footballer back in England and has been my inspiration when it comes to my recent lifestyle changes
For work – I am a sales rep for a bike company here in North Vancouver. That means when I’m not stuffing my face or in the kitchen you’ll probably find me riding my bike on the local mountains! I ride at Whistler mountain bike park most weekends during the summer with Mike, its dangerously addictive & I love it!. I just learned to snowboard (yey) so I still make use of the mountains even when they’re covered in snow!
The final member of our small family is THE cutest dog ever.. KIBA just look at her beautiful little face! We adopted her 2 years ago from her days as a street dog in Taiwan. She’ll also be featured quite a lot in the blog because I just can’t stop taking pictures of her and because shes a diva and poses for me.
